E-Book on Alzheimer’s Disease

Available soon as a kindle download!

When my mom (who was in her mid-70s at the time) was first diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease (at the Mild Cognitive Impairment level) I was at a lost when it came to helping her. Soon after her diagnosis she moved in with us. We realize not everyone has this opportunity and we are really lucky. However, I still became her support 365 days of year and 24 hours a day. I was her primary contact for doctors and hospitals and learned quickly about research and medicines being developed and currently used to treat dementia related diseases. Within a period of time we learned what works for everyone involved. Of course, as time goes by her behaviors have changed but we have learned to adapt to this changes quickly.

This books contains everything you need to know about the different stages of the disease, including the challenges facing caregivers at each stage. There is information about legal and financial decisions and suggestions for plans to put in place. There is also a glossary of terms, recommended aides, books and websites as well as support groups for caregivers. I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me.
